Martha's Vineyard Museum
This is an accounting for the expenses of 2nd Mate Peter Sylvia on the Bark Josephine between 1894 and 1897. It lists the expenses he incurred on board the ship, such as purchases of, tobacco, soap, and clothing, as well as cash advances to his wife back home. The expenses were subtracted from his 1/26th share of the profits.
